Just for your information, removing the CMOS (RTC) battery will not erase the BIOS password on this model. Don’t even try it, you’ll fail.
Apparently, this laptop sets the password by itself because of some kind of glitch in the earlier BIOS releases. I believe this problem was fixed with the latest BIOS release.
